Year 5 had a visit from West Yorkshire Police to discuss knife crime in the area. We discussed statistics, what to do if they feel unsafe or see or hear anything suspicious. We then looked at reasons why people carry knives to break the stigma around the crime. Then we looked at different weapons that have been confiscated and assessed how to use them correctly and what harm could be caused by different household goods.
