World Book Day has been such a success for our Year 2 children. They have absolutely loved visiting the new KS1 library and even got the opportunity to pair up with a Y6 child to read with and share their favourite books. During the day we enjoyed delving into the books of Anthony Browne and drawing inferences from the illustrations before reading them. We were then able to pick out similarities and differences between the books that we had read and created a book talk chart where we discussed our likes, dislikes, memories, and questions about the books. To complete the day wrote a book review of our favourite Anthony Browne book and shared these with each other.
