This week, we had some extra special visitors to the academy including the Mayor of Wakefield – Tracy Austin – to officially open our new library. She was joined by Paul Tarn (CEO of Delta Academies Trust) and Gillian Wiles (Deputy CEO of Academies Trust).  The Mayor took the opportunity to meet some of our Academy Councillors who discussed reading in the academy and their thoughts on the new library. The Mayor was impressed with their enthusiasm, impeccable manners and ideas for future projects to improve the academy even further.
